Canned Daisies

I recently found daisy seeds in a can and thought it was the cutest thing! Can't wait to plant them in my garden.

Great idea for gifts ladies.

Les Marolles

Les Marolles (the workers quarter) has to be one of my favorite areas in Brussels.

I cant help but get inspired every time I stroll through the area, filled with cute little side streets, quirky shops and art work on the walls. I truly recommend going there next time you are in Brussels!

Magical Snails

Never have I seen snails in this light and will always look at them as the magical creatures they are.

Photographer Vyacheslav Mishchenko has made me fall in love with snails, through his magical photos.

Truly must see: http://news.distractify.com/culture/arts/macro-photos-of-snails/?v=1

Amsterdam Bound

One of my favorite places to visit in Europe is Amsterdam. I adore the little cute canals and streets, filled with corky and fun shops that you cant help but fall in love with.

Here are a few memories I have from my last visit, they may just inspire you to go:

Maputo Market

One of my favorite things to do when I go to Maputo, Mozambique is to visit the colorful markets.

The art is beautifully inspiring and crafty. From the many designs and shapes of the capulanas to the smooth and silky wooden sculptures and smells.

A great way to spend an afternoon!

Capulana

Capulana is a waxed cotton cloth that was and still is traditionally used as a sarong, wrapped around the waist. In Mozambique, where I am from, women can be seen using capulanas as stylish clothing, as bags to carry heavy items, or even as wraps to carry their babies on their backs. The material is truly diverse and is absolutely beautiful, with intricate African patterns and vibrant colours.

Like the famous Mozambican novelist Paulina Chizane says: "'A real Mozambican woman must have a capulana, two capulanas, or ten capulanas, there can never be too many! Like the women themselves capulanas have a name and tell stories."

Capulana has also started to become trendy in the Western World, as the distinctive material can sometimes be spotted as pillow cases in home decor magazines or even on designer catwalks as fashion accessories.

Live Art Gent

This weekend I went to an outside live music and art event in Gent, Belgium. When we entered the walls were white canvases, but as the day/night progressed, artists transformed these blank walls into beautiful pieces of art. A lovely event in a lovely atmosphere.
