Infused Sugar

I recently made these cute little infused sugar jars as a birthday present and have since starting making it for the house and exploring with new flavours.

Not only is an adorable little gift, but also tastes amazing. The added flavour, just give the sugar a little kick and the uses are endless. It could be used for cakes, cookies and even for tea or coffee.

The trick to really getting a flavourful sugar, is by zesting the fruit and letting it dry in the fridge over night, before adding it to the sugar. Also leave the infused sugar for about a week before you start using it or give it away as gifts.

The two flavours I chose were lemon and vanilla, but you could also use coffee beans, lavender, lime and so forth

Hot Chocolate on a Stick

Last year I discovered the hot chocolate on a stick concept and fell in love!

I have since been making my own and using it not only for myself, but also serving it for guests.
They are super easy to make and are always a guaranteed hit for the family and friends.

The best part of making your own hot chocolate on a stick is that you can choose exactly what flavours you want combine. Are you a fan of dark chocolate or are you more a milk chocolate fan? Do you like a twist of caramel or are you more of a coffee kinda girl? The options are endless.

Here is how I made my basic hot chocolate on a stick:

Ingredients
-Half a cup of warm whipped milk
-1 cup of Chocolate
-2 tbsp of Nesquik

Place the mixture in little ramekins and let the mixture set in the freezer overnight. You can also add condensed milk and allow mixture to sit out overnight. I like putting them in the freezer, as it also turns into little delicious chocolate ice cream bites.

Pumpkin Decoration

One of the best ways to get in the spirit of halloween is by decorating pumpkins.

There are many ways in which you can decorate your pumpkin, other than the traditional square eyes and mouth carvings. Today you can find pumpkins in all kinds of colours and shapes, with a variety of creative carvings. It is a great weekend project for you and for the kids.
