Home Made Face Masks

Why spend money on face masks, when you can make healthier, better and organic face masks at home? With just a few ingredients, you can make masks that are relaxing, hydrating and rejuvenating.

Here are a few home masks, for different types of skin, that are simple, easy to make and make you feel great:



Pumpkin Face Masks 

Pumpkin is rich in zinc, which helps purify oily, blemished complexions. Pumpkin enzymes also work to gently exfoliate the skin without any abrasive particles.



Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons raw pumpkin, finely grated
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon tomato juice or 1/2 teaspoon tomato puree

Avocado Mask


Avocado is rich in fatty acids and makes a great natural moisturizer for dry or unbalanced skin.





Ingredients

  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 Tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil (optional)

Peach Mask


This face mask is rich in Vitamin A, E and D. It not only tightens the skin but also hydrates and rejuvenates depleted skin.




Ingredients:
  • One ripe peach
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 egg yolk (for dry skin) or 1 egg white (for oily skin)

Nutmeg Mask

Nutmeg and honey act as natural anti-inflammatories, which can reduce swelling and redness in skin. They’re also great for soothing acne scars and preventing infection. In addition, the nutmeg and cinnamon also work to exfoliate your skin when you wash this mask off.


Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon

Orange Mask


This mask adds moisture and radiance to your skin.Freshly squeezed orange juice is packed full of zinc and antioxidants, which your face loves a whole lot. Oatmeal and dried orange peel are excellent for gently exfoliating the dead skin cells from your face. Honey is naturally antibacterial and is wonderfully cleansing, and also is good for tightening your skin. 





Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup of oatmeal
  • juice for one orange
  • 3 tablespoon plain yoghurt 
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons dried orange peel

Coffee and Cocoa Mask


This mask must be done in the morning, it really serves as a wake up call.Cocoa, honey, and milk( or yogurt) are very moisturising to your skin. 
Cocoa and coffee are also both packed with antioxidants, so it’s a great anti-aging and detoxifying mask.


Ingredients:
  • 2 Tbsp freshly ground coffee (the finer the grind, the better)
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 3 Tbsp. milk (whole), heavy cream, or yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp. honey

Blueberry Mask 

Blueberries are powerful antioxidants and great for your skin.



Ingredients:
  • 1 cup blueberries 
  • 3/4 cup virgin coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons rosehip oil, almond oil or jojoba oil 
  • 2 tablespoons rosewater (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • For exfoliation, you can add 1 cup of oatmeal or 5 whole almonds
