Prayer Flags

Every household should have Tibetan flags hanging and blessing their home. Not only do they look beautifully colourful, but also create a calming and peaceful environment around them.

Prayer flags are traditionally from Tibet, and each colour and prayer on the flags represent a meaningful mantra or symbol from buddhist prayers. They are traditionally hung outside in the mountains, as it believed that the wind blowing through the flags carry love, happiness and prosperity to those around from the spiritual vibrations. They also look stunning inside if you have no outdoor space.

Sangria Recipes

I love wine, I love fruit and when you put them together you create magic in a glass- Sangria. I use to drink Sangria all the time when back in Mozambique and just feel warn and happy every time I have glass.

It is so tasty, fresh and is a lovely drink to serve for all occasions. You can use white wine, red wine, green wine or even rose to make sangria and mix it with pretty much any fruit. The options are truly endless, as you can also add mixers, sweeteners and garnishes.

If you have a experimental soul and would like to mix and match your own sangria, this chart may help you. Let your creative juice flow and create your very own sangria recipe:

Cork Mousepad

I was visiting a friend recently and she showed me her cute DIY mousepad she had made, using an old cork matt. She had given the matt a colourful makeover and it looked perfect in her new office.

Making your own mouse pad is super easy and simple. You could either paint the matt or even cover it with beautiful material. Even though stores carry many different funky mouse pads these days, it is always better to make your own, with the exact colours and shapes you desire.

So here are a few craft ideas that will inspire you to create your own personalised mousepad:

Pastel Nursery

Pastel colours are classic for nurseries and add colour in a sophisticated way. Even though babies can be messy, it doesn't mean that you cant have a classy and pretty nursery. One of the many things I love about pastel colours is how they compliment any style, be it country cottage or even more modern. Also they create a calm and relaxing environment for the little angels.

So here are a few ideas as to how you can create a dreamy and relaxing nursery in pastel colours:

Recycled Tires

It is astonishing the many things you can make from old tires. From bags, to chairs, to horse swings. Tires are made from hard rubber, which is a great material to recycle and use, as it is strong and sturdy.

So if you happen to have old tires in your garage or shed, unused and taking up space, then you may have a fun project on your hands. Plus it always feels great to know that by recycling old tires, you are making something environmentally friendly. Win for you and win for the environment.

Here are a few ways in which you could transform and reuse your old tires:
